Attorney Cathleen Collins graduated from Medford High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences in 2002. Immediately following college, she took a job as a paralegal in the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. Cathleen subsequently enrolled in Suffolk University Law School’s Evening Program and continued working for the attorney general throughout her law school career. She graduated from Suffolk Law in 2007 and was promoted to assistant attorney general shortly thereafter.

Cathleen has extensive experience in family law. Cathleen has argued hundreds of motions in court and has tried many cases to successful resolution. She also has argued before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Since 2009, Cathleen has been primarily focusing her practice in the area of domestic relations and has assisted hundreds of clients in divorce, custody, child support, adoptions, and visitation matters. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem doing custody evaluations to help families resolve difficult family law matters. She has been named a rising star by Super Lawyers Magazine yearly for her work in family law as well as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts every year since 2013.
Cathleen is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, The Greater Boston Family Law American Inn of Court, The Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, the AFCC, Massachusetts Association of Guardians Ad Litem, and the Justinian Law Society.
Cathleen lives on the North Shore with her husband and son.
